In Lynne Crowe’s Rambling Reflections blog I read about The Hat. This freeware will generate a random list from a roster of names that you enter. Forget the cup with the tongue depressors labeled with your students’ names, you can now use this tool to assign a random order for who goes next. Or, even better, if a list is not what you are after, but just one random student name, check out the Excel template from Mr. C.
