Join The Earth Day Groceries Project, which is celebrating its fourteenth year on the Internet. This on-line collaborative project does not require registration. At the website you will find detailed directions, FAQ, PowerPoint presentations, and much more!  There is also a project blog.

Procedure

1. A school/group borrows paper bags from a local grocery store.
   Students decorate those bags with beautiful environmental art and
   environmental awareness messages.
2. The bags are then returned to the store.
   Thestore distributes those decorated bags (full of groceries) to amazed shoppers
   on Earth Day, April 22nd.
3. The school sends in a report to the project web site, documenting its participation.
